LBAS and OHS Aviation Services have successfully completed their largest ever single aircraft maintenance and refurbishment contract from a prestigious non disclosed Asian client.
The project, completed on a Bombardier Global Express, includes the first installation of Honeywell's Ovation Select™ Cabin Management System on a Bombardier aircraft outside North America.
LBAS and OHS Aviation Services have been working together since 2010. LBAS specializes in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of Bombardier Learjet, Challenger and Global business jets. OHS Aviation Services is a tier one supplier to LBAS for all cabin interior and aircraft exterior aesthetic-related work. A joint initiative by the two companies made it possible for the client to see the added value in choosing the combined maintenance and refurbishment program offered at the LBAS maintenance facility in Berlin, Germany.
The contract includes a full 10 year inspection (8C Check), partial cabin refurbishment and the installation of Honeywell's Ovation Select™ Cabin Management System - an all digital, state-of-the-art cabin management system including crystal-clear surround sound audio, vivid full high-definition (1080p) Blu-ray video and digital communication distribution throughout the cabin. Ovation Select also brings its JetMap HD feature to the cabin - a 3D full high-definition (1080p) moving map application.
This latest Ovation Select installation is the first result of a growing partnership between Honeywell's European project team and LBAS. The completion also includes update of Honeywell's Satcom satellite communication system to provide the customer with a high speed data connection for passenger use and provide optimized routings and altitudes for future air navigation systems.

OHS brings their expertise and professionalism to the refurbishment of the VIP cabin while LBAS does the specialized aircraft maintenance."
