SmartLynx, Thomas Cook sign wet lease agreement for two A320s
On the 9th of February 2017, SmartLynx Airlines, a charter airline based in Latvia, signed an ACMI wet lease agreement with Thomas Cook Airlines.
Under the agreement, SmartLynx leases two Airbus A320, MSN 533 and MSN 1873 with respective Latvian Registration Marks YL-LCL and YL-LCO to Thomas Cook Airlines.
Aircraft YL-LCL will operate from Birmingham International Airport (BHX), England, and YL-LCO – from London Gatwick Airport (LGW), England, both starting from the 29th of April 2017. Redelivery date for both aircraft is scheduled on the 1st of November 2017.
SmartLynx Airlines now operates a fleet of 11 aircraft and serves flights on wet lease out (ACMI), holiday charter flights, and ad hoc passenger charter flights across Europe, Africa, and Asia.
