SmartLynx wet-leases 6 aircraft for EasyJet
SmartLynx Airlines signed a long-term wet-lease contract with European low-cost airline EasyJet. According to the agreement signed in November 2017, SmartLynx leases to EasyJet six Airbus A320.
Four of the leased aircraft has Latvian Registration marks (YL-LCT, MSN 2233; YL-LCU, MSN 1762; YL-LCS, MSN 566 and YL-LCN, MSN 662), while the remaining two hold Estonian Registration marks (ES-SAO, MSN 936 and ES-SAQ, MSN 984). The seating configuration is 180 Y economy, MTOW 77t.
The lease term for all aircraft is determined from January 7 till March 31, 2018.
According to SmartLynx, EasyJet will operate the aircraft from the base in Tegel Airport, Berlin, Germany for flights to different European destinations including some holiday islands.
SmartLynx Airlines is a Latvian charter airline based in Mārupe. It operates holiday charter flights, and ad hoc passenger charter flights and flights on wet lease out. In the beginning of 2017 SmartLynx already wet leased to EasyJet three A320s.
