Bonza appoints CEO and fills senior leadership roles
Startup airline Bonza, which is possibly the most Australian business name ever, has announced the appointment of its executive team.
The company will be led by Peter McNally, who has previously held high-ranking positions at Virgin Blue, Swissport, IndiGo and Qatar.
Carly Povey, a former executive at Jetstar, will act as Bonza’s chief commercial officer. Lidia Valenzuela, who has previously worked for various credit and service companies, has been appointed Bonza’s chief financial officer.
Bonza was established by Tim Jordan, who has previously worked at Virgin Blue, Cebu Pacific, United Airlines and other airlines.
The company aims to become Australia’s first independent low-cost airline and hopes to commence operations in early 2022, flying a fleet of Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
