Southwest Airlines employee killed while leaving work at El Paso Airport
A Southwest Airline employee was found dead at the El Paso International Airport (ELP) employee parking lot on the evening of November 19, 2021.
The El Paso Police department responded to calls that evening and sent a dispatch to the employee parking lot. Initial reports suggested that the incident was aggravated robbery and that the unidentified worker was fatally shot.
The police department, however, released a statement on social media saying that through ongoing investigation, it found that this was not a result of robbery, and that no shooting took place.
Though the manner of death can not be released at this time, police say that investigations suggest that the victim and the involved persons knew each other. The police also believe that this was not a random act.
