Alliance Air ATR-72 loses engine door during take-off
India’s Alliance Air ATR-72 regional turboprop has lost its right engine door during take-off from Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) on February 9, 2022.
The Alliance Air ATR-72 turboprop aircraft, registered as VT-RKJ, took off without its right engine cover but proceeded with flight 9I625. After a one and a half hours of flying, the aircraft safely landed at Bhuj Airport (BHJ), India. No injuries among the passengers and crew were reported.

According to a report by ANI, the Mumbai Air Traffic controller (ATC) reported the occurrence soon after the flight took off. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has initiated a probe into the incident.
