Lessor ALC places nine Boeing 737 aircraft with Corendon Airlines Group
Lessor Air Lease Corporation (ALC) has placed nine new Boeing 737 aircraft with charter carrier Corendon Airlines Group on long-term leases.
Corendon Airlines Group has three operating airlines in Turkey, Malta and the Netherlands.
Five of the new Boeing 737-8 aircraft will be delivered to Corendon Airlines Turkey in spring 2022 and one in the first quarter of 2023.
The remaining three aircraft, which are the 737-9 model, will be delivered to the Corendon Airline Group from the first half of 2023, ALC said in a statement on February 22, 2022.
“These nine new Boeing 737 aircraft offer the most modern, fuel-efficient new technology that will greatly enhance Corendon’s overall fleet operations and passenger experience,” ALC executive chairman Steven Udvar-Házy commented.
According to its website, Corendon Airlines Group currently has 27 Boeing 737-800 aircraft in its fleet. Of these, 15 are with Corendon Turkey, nine with Corendon Airlines Europe and three with Corendon Dutch Airlines.
