South Korea’s low-cost carrier T’way Air has welcomed delivery of its first widebody aircraft, the Airbus A330. This is the first of three A330 jets the budget carrier plans to introduce to its fleet.  

According to a press statement from the airline, the two remaining A330s will be delivered by the end of May 2022. 

T’way’s new Airbus A330-300 aircraft, registered HL5801, will accommodate up to 347 passengers in a two-class configuration: 335 in economy class and 12 in business class. The Seoul-based budget airline claims to be South Korea’s first LCC to introduce the business class.  

T’way Air plans to deploy its new A330 on the Gimpo-Jeju route by the end of March 2022. The airline also intends to introduce the aircraft on routes to Singapore, Australia, and Eastern Europe. It also expects to use the aircraft for cargo transportation. 

With the introduction of the brand-new Airbus A330-300 jet, T’way’s fleet will expand to 28 aircraft. The airline’s fleet includes 27 Boeing 737-800s, according to Planespotters.net data.
