“We extend our deepest condolences for the loss of those on board China Eastern Airlines Flight MU 5735. Our thoughts and prayers are with the passengers and crew, their families and all those affected by this accident,” Boeing said in a statement released March 26, 2022.
Boeing also said that it will continue its support to China Eastern, and that a technical team of the aircraft manufacturer is supporting the NTSB and the CAAC in its investigations.
The airline’s Boeing-made aircraft fleet comprises 289 Boeing 737 family aircraft, 20 Boeing 777s, and 10 Boeing 787 Dreamliners. In addition, the group also has a total of seven COMAC ARJ21 regional jets.
The first black box of MU5735, believed to be the Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR), was found on March 23, 2022, two days after the flight crashed into the mountains of Guangxi.
The second black box, believed to be the Flight Data Recorder (FDR), was found on March 27, 2022.
