Eurowings takes delivery of its first Airbus A320neo aircraft
Eurowings, a subsidiary of the Lufthansa (LHAB) (LHA), has received its first Airbus A320neo aircraft, marking the type’s entry into service with the German low-cost carrier.
The new Airbus A320neo aircraft, registered as D-AENA, will add to the airline’s existing fleet of 75 Airbus A320 family aircraft.
Eurowings’ A320neo jet will feature Airbus’ new Airspace cabin design with customizable lighting sets, a quieter cabin, redesigned sidewall panels, and bins with more space for cabin bags.

The A320neo has the capability to accommodate up to 180 passengers in typical two-class seating. The aircraft also has a maximum range of 6,300 kilometers and is powered by CFM International’s LEAP-1A engines.
At the end of February 2022, the A320neo family had received nearly 7,900 orders from more than 125 customers across the globe, according to Airbus data.
