ITA Airways’ brand-new Airbus A350-900 aircraft has performed its first preparatory flight wearing ITA’s blue livery. The first flight took place at Airbus headquarters in Toulouse.

According to ITA, the new A350-900 will join the airline’s fleet in June 2022. The aircraft will be deployed on new intercontinental routes between Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) and Los Angeles, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, and Tokyo.

“The arrival of the flagship aircraft will enable the company to offer modern, environment-friendly aircraft featuring cutting-edge technology," the airline outlined in a statement.

The new aircraft will help the carrier to further develop its intercontinental network and support the airline’s environmental targets, ITA said.
